I recently finished a REALLY good book!!
This book was so good that I stayed up until 1 in the morning finishing it. I have this thing about loving books about school and growing up- like Ellen Foster, Prep, Commencement, Cum Laude, Ordinary People... I read a review of it in a magazine a few months ago, and it said it was a mixture between Heathers (which I have no idea what that is) and The Dead Poet's Society (love that movie!... again, about school).
The book is told from three points of view: Iris, present time freshman girl who has moved to a new, very small town to essentially start over, Jonah, present time teacher at the school who was once a student there and Lily, former student who went to the school and told from about 10 or so years earlier when she was in highs school. Iris lives in the house that Lily once lived in, and she is really intrigued by her...
It is really good- there is a secret society, lots of twists and turns, a few love triangles, and some tragedy. I highly recommend it.
So go read it, and then tell me what you think!
