Happy Birthday Hubby

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday!  We celebrated on Saturday night by going out to dinner.

We ate at Wasabi in downtown Jackson.  The hubs is like OBSESSED with sushi (which is so not my thing), but since it was his birthday, we went.  We've decided they have the best fried rice.

My most excellect non sushi meal of red snapper
The yummy birthday cake I got for hubs- funfetti... SO good!

And since I planned my outfit for an entire week, I did a lame attempt at an outfit picture. I'm no model and terribly awkward.

dress- J.Crew, belt- Target, shoes- kate spade (old), clutch (old, no idea), lipstick: FACE Stockholm for J.Crew in Chili Flake

I wish I could have this dress in black and navy too.  I love the way it fits and it has pockets- my favorite!

My leopard belt is quickly becoming one of my very favorite accessories.  Bow bracelet is from kate spade. And nail polish is Essie Over the Edge

And since you couldn't really see my shoes, I needed a better shot so all could admire them.
He won't be getting his presents until tonight, so no spoilers here on the off chance he looks...

  1. I love sushi and my husband hates it. So we are the opposite of you guys. I totally forgot that he could get fried rice so maybe we will have to do more sushi dates so I can have some! Love your dress! It looks so cute with the leopard belt.

  3. Happy belated birthday to your husband. It looks like he had a great birthday. Although sushi is so not my thing too, I would have been so happy with just that cake. I love your dress, it is so darling. I've been wanting a dress with pockets. Pockets just make dresses so much better, don't they. Oh, have you seen that black and white striped Oscar de la Renta ballgown from NY fashion week that has pockets? It is stunning.
