Shatter Nails

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, then you might know that I totally hit the jackpot on my October Julep box.  I thought it was weird that my box was gold and not black.  It also seemed like they messed up my box because I had way more than I ordered.

I chose the It Girl box, which included 3 polishes.  Then I got a free add on because it was my first box so I got the fast dry drops.  Then I added Eloise, which is one of my new favorite polishes ever (its a navy blue).  And then I got some candy corn and glitter.  But I had 2 extra polishes...

Apparently a few people each month get the golden box, where you get a few extra things.  And I got a golden box!  (if I had read the card that said "You received a golden box" all of this would have been explained, but I thought everyone got that...)  I even took a picture before I opened it WITH the card in it!!

I never claimed to be extremely smart or observant...

So this week I decided to try the shatter nail polish!  I have never tried shatter polish before, and wasn't really sure how I felt about it, but most of the boxes came with shatter this month for Halloween, so I decided to give it a try (one of my golden box goodies was a second bottle of shatter polish so now I have 2)

I started with Leslie, a shimmery black on fingers and toes.

then I added Glenda to my nails

It was really cool just watching the shatter separate once I put it on. Crazy!

I am really liking the shatter look.  It isn't something I would do all the time, but it is fun for something different!

Even though I still have plenty of polishes to try before the next box, I can't wait to see what the choices are for the November boxes!!
