I had such a fantastic weekend this past weekend. My mom and grandmother drove down to visit me, which always makes things so great!

The girls decided to go to the annual Chapel of the Cross "Day in the Country" Festival. It was so much fun! Charlie had an exam (yep, on Saturday, Crazy!) so he didn't come along for the fun. It was such a great fall day, cool but not too cool- it was the first cool day we have had!
The chapel was built in the mid 1800s and is still used today.
The graveyard by the church was super old, and a little creepy...
There was all kinds of food. Breakfast, lunch, snacks. They had a huge tent with all kinds of baked goods- breads, cupcakes, jams...
This is the 63 egg cake they make every year and sell slices. It was pretty darn good...
There were lots of cute things for kids- pony rides, a petting zoo, moon bounce, face painting, pumpkin painting. I really wanted to get my face painted and paint a pumpkin.
We had such a good time wandering around! Then we did some shopping, went to dinner... it was so much fun!

Looks like fun! That cake looks GOOD!

There are tons of really really old cemeteries here and they spook me out too!
ReplyDeleteAlso if I was there I would have made us paint a pumpkin because that is just to much fun to pass up!
