Another blue and white piece I have added to my closet! I really think I have a problem. But I won’t be stopping any time soon. This time it comes in the form of a striped wrap skirt. It is super cute and I find it to be really flattering. Plus it has a bow, so what isn’t to like about it? As soon as I saw it I knew it had to be mine. It just feels so summery!
So this is actually a faux wrap skirt but that’s ok. At least you know it won’t come untied and result in a wardrobe malfunction 🙂 That would absolutely be my luck. It is made out of a kind of puckered cotton (I’m not sure if that is the correct term but go with me) and reminds me of seersucker, which is definitely a summer weakness of mine. It is lightweight, but not so light that you can see through it (don’t worry, it is lined).
I went with a navy tee and sandals for our Father’s Day dinner, but you could easily dress this skirt up or down. Pair it with a blouse for the office or maybe try a tee and cardigan (these are my favorite lightweight cardigans for summer & I just ordered it in white), and for the weekend opt for a tank and tennis shoes or flip flops.
This skirt also comes in solid coral and solid navy, and I am seriously considering getting both of them because I love the striped one so much. The coral one is especially fun!
And I went with my new favorite pair of wedges. I really like them because they feel a little dressier than a flat sandal, but they aren’t so dressy that you can’t wear them with just about anything. Versatility is key, my friends. These also come in 2 other colors (black and cream), and I am also considering adding them to my closet as well. Because when you find something you like, why not buy it in all colors? I am only halfway kidding…
