I love to bake during the holidays. Well, if I am being honest, I love to bake any time of year, but holiday baking is just a little bit more fun in my opinion! And baked treats are a great way to do a little something extra sweet (get it?) for family, friends, co-workers, teachers and other people you want to say thank you to.
Cookies area perfect option for gifting. While I love cupcakes and cakes, they can be difficult to transport. But with cookies, you can easily make up a little box or tin to give. If you have kids, maybe make an afternoon out of baking things for loved ones.
There are so many delicious and adorable cookies out there. So these are some great option to make and give, or keep for yourself.
Gingerbread men are fun to decorate (and eat) this time of year! There is a long standing rule in my house that I am not allowed to make gingerbread houses (kind of like Monica and Ross aren’t allowed to play football), but I think gingerbread men should be Ok.
These sugar cookie snowmen are super adorable. Of course you could do any shape you want, but the snowmen remind me of the ones at Starbucks, which are super cute & I threatened to steal a small child’s snowman cookie the other day (she had TWO which seemed excessive). I guess I should just make my own.
I love all things peppermint. Period. These peppermint mocha cookies are not only festive but full of that peppermint flavor I love so much!
These candy cane kiss cookies are super easy and really cute too. Of course you don’t have to use the candy cane kisses (and you could easily make these other times of year), but the red and white stripes make it that much more festive!
If you are feeling up to something a tiny bit more challenging, these peppermint candy cane cookies actually look like candy canes, which is adorable. These would be so cute in a cellophane bag with a ribbon around the top!
I love confetti (or funfetti) cupcakes and cakes, so naturally I love them in cookie form too! These confetti cake batter cookies would work any time of year! These are also SUPER easy because you use a cake mix.
What are some of your favorite holiday cookies to make (or eat)?
