So I have spent the last year writing about my top 10 closet staples, and then I wrote about some other closet staples that didn’t quite make the top 10 list. Now what? Styling all of these pieces of course! I am mixing and matching those original 10 staples plus the additional 9 staples from last month. Now of course I am not covering all of the combinations possible, but I am mixing it up a bit for hopefully some combinations that might not seem as obvious.
Here are the 19 pieces:
White T-shirt / Little Black Dress / Blazer / Chambray Shirt / Pencil Skirt / Jeans / Neutral Pumps / Nice Handbag / Fun Shoes / Statement Necklace / Striped Tee / Denim Jacket / Sneakers / Cardigan / Tote Bag / A Line Skirt / Trench Coat / Black Leggings / Scarf
A couple of notes on my picks – I went with all black pieces for things like the blazer and the striped tee, just to make it a little easier for the mixing and matching. But navy or camel are great options for these as well! Or do a little bit of everything! As for the fun shoes, while I think you need at least one summer and one winter pair, I went with one that will pretty much work all year.
Everything was used at least one, and I think the only thing that was only used once was the leggings, and that is really because I thought this post was just getting too long. I could have gone on and on with more combinations!
So hopefully this gives you some lesser obvious outfit combinations that you can come up with for those closet staples! Just because they are staples does not mean that they have to be boring.
What are your favorite ways to style your closet staples?
