As much as I love sandals, I also really love when it comes time to break out the boots. I have several pairs, but it never seems to be enough. From boots to booties, heels to flats, classics to trendy – there just is no such thing as too many pairs of boots! The good thing about boots is that if you get a classic pair, you can wear them year after year. I have a pair of Coach riding boots that I have had since 2017 and I still wear them like crazy.
So now that it is really feeling like fall around here, I’ve been perusing the boots a lot more. And there are SO many cute pairs this year. So today I am talking about some classic must haves plus a few that are on my wish list.
I got a really similar pair of flat booties like these last year and I love them. They are super comfortable, and I love to pair them with super cute socks that stick out of the top.
This classic bootie is the perfect alternative to a black pump for the winter months. It works for the office, a date night, a party, or with jeans. And this is a pair you will wear year after year.
This is another good every day bootie. It has just enough of a heel to give a little bit of height but not so much that they feel dressy. And it comes in three color options- English saddle, dark cabernet and black. I really love them all and wouldn’t mind having all 3 pairs.
I love a suede bootie, and this one is a really good choice. I love the color and the chunkier heel.
I love burgundy for fall, so I am really into all of the burgundy boots out now! This pointed toe pair actually comes in several colors but the burgundy is my favorite. While you can always wear them with pants or jeans, I think they would look really good with a dress or skirt to really show them off!
I am REALLY into these boots for a couple of reasons – first of all they are suede, which I have already said I really love. Next, they are waterproof, which is awesome because I am always worried about wearing suede when it rains because I don’t want to ruin them. And the third reason is the scalloped top! I have a pair of Jack Rogers booties that are scalloped at the top and I love them. This pair is just too cute.
These tan suede boots are another classic pick that are sure to be worn for several years. These can be dressed up or down, can be worn with a dress, a skirt, jeans, you name it. They also come in black leather.
If you don’t have a pair of riding boots, make that your priority this year. Everyone should have riding boots. I even wrote a post last year about it. I think you should spend the money, get a nice pair and wear them for forever. This is a fantastic pick and I promise you will wear them for years.
And finally, a pair of over the knee boots is a must in my opinion. I bought a black pair several years ago, and while I admit I don’t wear them as much as my riding boots or booties, I do love to break them out a few times a year. I prefer flat over the knee boots to heels, but that is a personal preference.
