Leopard Loafers

I don’t know how it has happened, but Monday is here again.  Wasn’t it just Friday night?  I hope you all had a good weekend.  We took a quick trip home to Memphis, and it was just what we needed.  A little time away, some good family time, good food… what more could you ask for?
A few weeks ago, I discussed my need for more “things” for my bookcases (here).  So Saturday my mom, grandmother and I spent some time going to some different stores.  Naturally, I didn’t find a single thing for my bookcases.  But while we were at TJ Maxx, I did find these super cute Sam Edelman loafers.  I was just talking about my need for new leopard flats last Tuesday Shoesday and there they were.
It is funny that I found them at TJ Maxx.  I never find anything there.  I can probably count on one hand the number of things I have ever purchased from there.  I am not one to go there very often because I always end up frustrated.  Everyone else seems to find great things there, but not me.  Truth- the thrill of the hunt isn’t my thing.  I don’t like to scour racks and dig for things.  I am also not a thrift store shopper, garage saler or general crazy bargain shopper.  I just don’t have it in me.  So that is why it is kind of amazing I found these there!

Oooh I love this outfit!! The leather shirt with the striped skirt and the leopard flats… all perfect! You know, I’m not a “thrill of the hunt” person either, but I seem to do really well in the shoe department at TJ Maxx. I think it’s because I can just walk in, glance at the shoes and know whether or not I’ll like something. I don’t really have the patience to dig through racks either.

I get a bit stressed out in stores like TJ Maxx too. I was in Marshall’s on the weekend and literally couldn’t find anything. I ended up buying a vase, because I just couldn’t leave with nothing. However, the last time I went, I scored some jeans, booties AND a sweater, so it’s hit or miss (and you have to be in the right mood).

LOVE that top on you by the way. I think it’s the perfect material for the fall (when it’s not too cold).
