I told you the days of plaid were just beginning (see last week’s post for plaid look number one of the season). I really can’t help myself, and you just can’t go wrong with plaid in the fall and winter! And if it is pink and navy plaid? Well then it is even better.
So Charlie told me that I could be Dolly Parton in 9 to 5 in this outfit. I have a feeling that she did not wear an outfit that is like this in the movie (I’ve never seen the movie), but I just went with it. He said it was a compliment, but the jury is still out on that. Honestly, I doubt he has seen the movie either. He kept calling it my “sport coat” which I had to correct several times that it is a BLAZER. I personally like this look a lot, thank you very much.
I got this skirt last year from J. Crew, but they brought it back at J. Crew factory this year, which is I think is really exciting. I absolutely love it! Pink and navy and with a ruffle – it is the perfect combo! It is great for work or the weekend, and looks super cute with a sweater or blouse or a chambray skirt. When it gets cooler, I pair it with riding boots and a cozy scarf. You can see how I styled it last winter here. And if for some strange reason plaid just isn’t your thing, this skirt also comes in solid black, camel and pale blue.
You might remember this blazer from a few months ago. I got it during the Nordstrom sale and styled it for summer, but I knew it would be so perfect for the fall and winter! I just keep building up my blazer arsenal. Charlie even said “You have a LOT of blazers.” They really make an outfit! Unfortunately, this exact jacket is sold out now, but there is an amazing pink velvet blazer that I LOVE!
