It is kind of anyone’s guess this time of year when it comes to the weather. It may be fall weather where you are, or maybe it still feels like summer. Or what is even more fun is when it feels like summer one day, the next it feels like fall, and then it is back to summer. And of course there is the cool in the mornings, hot during the day, cool in the evenings. It can make dressing a challenge, especially when the calendar says fall and you want to look a little more like fall.
As you probably know, I wear a lot of dresses. I find them to be not only the most comfortable, but also versatile. This drop waist dress is a great example of what to wear no matter what your weather is like. This is one of the things I got at Draper James when I went to Nashville. It has been in the high 80s here, so this dress with some flats is all I need.
If you are experiencing cooler weather, or want to make it feel a little more fallish, switch the flats for a pair of tan booties. Once it really cools down, opt for brown riding boots and a navy or camel blazer.
You can also dress it down for the weekend with a pair of sneakers and a jean jacket.
A quick note on this dress- I love it. I think it is really flattering, but also really comfortable. It comes in solid navy as well, and I wouldn’t mind having that too! If you are thinking about this dress, keep in mind it does run big, so I would go down a size.
And while I am on the subject of fall and Draper James, can I just say that they have SO many cute things for fall? My wishlist is like a mile long. You can see some of my favorites below.
How are you dressing right now? What is the weather like where you live?
