Sometimes I have a really hard time dressing in the summer because I am so incredibly cold natured. It is a million degrees outside, but bverywhere I go inside I am freezing. Restaurants, the office, stores, they are all freezing! So that is why bringing along a blazer (or cardigan) is a great way to go for me. And this pink blazer is just about perfect all year round.
This is actually the only thing that I kept from the Nordstrom sale. I ordered a few other things, but none of them were just right. As soon as I saw it, my inner Elle Woods had a melt down and I knew it had to be mine. And I LOVE it. It was meant to be. (Side note – Legally Blonde will always and forever be one of my top favorite movies. Reese is my obsession & I am going to see her in Nashville in September & I can’t wait).
How can you not love a pink blazer? It is actually a really great transition piece foe fall. It looks great now with sun dresses and skirts, and it will be perfect in the fall with some riding boots. It would look fantastic for a date night paired with a slip dress and heels (which I don’t own but have considered this one, if I ever went anywhere or maybe this tank dress). And it walks that fine line between playful and chic. Elle would definitely approve.
Of course, I love a pink, navy & white combo, but it would also look great with black, brown, camel or gray for fall. When everything else gets darker, this blazer will be the pop of color that adds a little something extra to an outfit! And it would looks SO good paired with a dark floral, like this skirt.
I tend to go up in size with blazers, because I like to make sure I can wear long sleeves and sweaters under them in the winter. Blazers are oh so perfect for layering when the temps drop. Unfortunately the blazer isn’t on sale any more, but it is restocked in all sizes and I highly recommend it! I know I will be wearing mine a lot this coming fall and winter, so be prepared to see it again. J. Crew blazers last a really long time (I have had my navy one for at least 6 years maybe longer), so they are definitely worth the money. And you can never go wrong with pink in my opinion!
So what do you think – are you all about a pink blazer like me? Is your inner Elle Woods also saying, “Whoever said orange was the new pink is seriously disturbed?”
