Happy Tuesday Shoesday friends. Today’s post is a sad post. Well, I mean it isn’t REALLY sad, but it is sad in the land of shoes. Today’s post is all about shoes I want but don’t have.
For one reason or another, these shoes have alluded me. Some have been on my wish list for years but still I don’t own them. They aren’t urban shoe myths like the Manolo Blahnik black patent leather high heeled Mary Janes, but they have been really hard for me to find just the right ones.
I have been wanting some amazing oxfords for quite a while now. Unfortunately, I fell in love with this Kate Spade pair last year and haven’t found anything I love as much as them. These are a major shoe regret for me.
I have been wanting over the knee boots for years. Seriously, years. And of course I love the Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots. Most of the over the knee boots I have looked at either are really expensive (like the 5050s) or look like they should be in Pretty Woman, pre- Richard Gere makeover (you know what I mean).
Metallic loafers, specifically gold, are definitely on my wish list. I believe these were from Shoemint last year (or the year before). They were actually a rose gold, and I didn’t order them because they were more rose gold. Then Kate Spade had a loafer that was more glittery and I didn’t get those either.
I had a pair of leopard flats and they were quite perfect. They were nine years old from Nine West, and I finally threw them out when I did a recent closet cleaning. I had worn them so much that I wore holes in the soles. I have been looking for the perfect ever since I realized I had holes in my old ones (I might have been wearing them with the holes, but not in the rain). I have very specific requirements – they have to be just the right color (not too tan, not too brown), ballet flat (not pointy toe, although I would like those too), calf hair kind, not the printed on pattern, and I would prefer a bow. (These are pretty close to perfect).
So do you have allusive shoes that you have been wanting but have yet to find?
