I think we have safely entered the official fall zone here in the South. Fingers crossed we don’t have any more days in the 80s. And I think it might be safe to put those booties and boots into rotation until spring. But, it is the south so we shall see! I am not complaining about the cooler temps (for now).
I love pairing a bootie with a skirt (or dress) before breaking out the tights. You really can’t go wrong. I got these suede ones last year, which would be the year that I bought several pairs of booties and none of them were actually what I needed to replace. This was the first pair. But I realized after they were suede, and even though I love suede, I was worried about rain. So I had to buy another pair (and then another…). But I still love these.
It is safe to say that if something is pink and has ruffles, I am probably going to buy it. That was the case with this skirt, and I love it. I saw it and kept trying to talk myself out of it, but obviously that didn’t work so well. It is super cute, and really comfortable too. It has an elastic waste, so in that respect it does run a little big. They call it a wool flannel skirt, but I really think you could wear the material from early fall through early spring. It comes in several colors, so there is a good chance I’ll be getting more of them.
If you get the Monthly Edit, then you have seen this cardigan before. It was one of my must haves for September. I told you it was a must have! The combination of stripes + the tweed trim was just too much for me not to have. It is a great piece to wear to the office with a skirt or dress, but also is super cute with jeans on the weekend.
And now for the true confession of this post – I nearly had a nervous breakdown taking these pictures (not really). It is getting darker earlier, and I didn’t think about it. So we were kind of chasing the light on these. I like it when it cools off, but I hate it when it gets dark so early!
