I’ve been wanting to start a new feature here called Weekend Style Files. So often I am inspired by celebrities/ fashion trend setters, so I thought I would show you how to get a similar look. Now, I want to clarify something: 99% of the time it isn’t going to be the same pieces. These posts are going to be about getting the same feel of the look- maybe same color scheme, same elements, that make the look so great. It is all about personal style here, so I believe in making it your own!
So for the first Weekend Style File, we are deconstructing a look from the most fabulous Olivia Palermo. She has to be one of my favorite fashionistas right now. I don’t really know why she is famous, but she always looks amazing. She is pretty much flawless.
The two keys to getting the look right are the layering and the mixing of colors. I chose a sweater with colorblocking in blue, grey and black, a fur vest to go on top and of course the burgundy booties. Pair it with black pants (OP wears leather and that is what I chose, but you could easily go with a simple black skinny pant) and finish it off with a large bag and long necklace.
